PE4life/Speed Stacks Sport Pack Grant Program
The PE4life/Speed Stacks Sport Pack Grant Program awards Sport Packs to schools highly motivated to start a Sport Stacking program but not able to fund it themselves.  A PE4life/Speed Stacks Sport Pack includes everything you need to offer a comprehensive Sport Stacking program:  30 sets of Speed Stacks®, a StackMat®, StackPod®, Speed Stacks Minis and Mini-Mat, Super Minis, Stacker Training DVD, 5-day Unit Plans, the “On the Move with Speed Stacks” Activity Guide, WSSA Stack Meet Manual and Group Order information.  A PE4life/Speed Stacks Sport Pack allows schools to incorporate Sport Stacking into their physical education programs year after year.  Sport Stacking is credited with helping students improve fitness, motor skills, patterning, sequencing, focus and concentration.  Sport Stacking also helps hand-eye coordination and ambidexterity and allows students to use both sides of their body and brain to improve bilateral proficiency as well as encourages students to set goals through establishing personal records.

Sprint

The Sprint Foundation accepts grant requests from January through November each year. Regional and Local grants focus on those areas as well as K-12 education more broadly, youth development, and arts & culture. Recipient organizations must be tax exempt and tax deductible, have auditable financial results and comply with all necessary laws regarding registration and reporting. A more complete listing is provided in the Sprint Foundation section of the Sprint.com website. Generally grants are provided for specific program support not for operating expenses or events.

Lowe’s will donate $5 million to public schools and public school parent teacher groups - at more than 1,000 different public schools in 2006 and 2007.

MetLife Foundation was established for the purpose of supporting educational, health, civic, and cultural organizations. Their goals are to strengthen communities, promote good health and improve education.

 

In fiscal year 2005, Nike contributed $46.1 million in cash and products to non-profit partners around the world. Part of Nike’s corporate giving focuses on programs that support youth and physical activity, and the positive effects of the two when they are truly in sync. Programs should increase and promote physical activity in some way - indoor, outdoors or both -- whether it’s something as traditional as soccer or a basketball camp, the fluidity and passion of dance, or jumping rope, riding a unicycle or something completely fresh and new.

 

Northwest Health Foundation

The purpose of this grant is to support local community coalitions that promote physical activity and healthy eating through social, organizational, physical, and policy environments. Priority is given to interventions that provide for multiple settings, such as worksites, schools and neighborhoods.

The Bowling Foundation

 

The Milagro Foundation is accepting applications for the Grants for Children and Youth Programs. The purpose of this grant is to support non-profit, community-based organizations that work with at-risk and disadvantaged youth due to factors such as poor health, illiteracy or poor educational and cultural opportunities.

 

The Ralphs/Food 4 Less Foundation was founded in 1991 with a commitment to improving the quality of life in the communities served by Ralphs and Food 4 Less. The Foundation focuses on the needs of those living in areas served by Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and Foods Co stores. In 2005, the Foundation awarded $3.2 million to nonprofit organizations.

General Mills: Champions for Healthy Kids

The General Mills Foundation, in partnership with the American Dietetic Association Foundation and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness, developed the Champions for Healthy Kids grant program in 2002. Each year, the General Mills Foundation awards 50 grants of $10,000 each to community-based groups that develop creative ways to help youth adopt a balanced diet and physically active lifestyle.
