National PE4life Day
For the past six years, PE4life has hosted an annual celebration called National PE Day® in Washington, DC in early May. Activities include a welcome reception, our annual awards dinner, and various educational offerings.
These activities coincide with an intense advocacy effort on Capitol Hill led by physical education advocates from across the nation. Meetings are held with members of Congress to encourage them to support physical education in a variety of ways. The meetings feature celebrity athletes such as Steve Young, Hershel Walker, and Jennifer Azzi who are passionate about increasing physical education opportunities for kids.
